I think the pic is a little far-fetched (or I'm just not seeing something). I like this walking monk though! |

Wow! I guess you can tell I don't know a word of Italian! I still think some of them are far-fetched, but others, especially that goat's head from - I think it's the old family book - that's pretty scary!

My faves the 'Ram's head' picture in the Live Forever book. Some of the eighties perms in that book are quite scary too.

I had Google's translation software translate the website. Got a kick out of the rendering of the Revelation book's title: Detection. Its huge apex is near! Yes, I'm sure it is. Another title lost a lot in translation: the greatest man who never has existed. Oops! And let's not forget You can living in order always on one earth paradisiaca. Also those fine magazines, Tower of Guard and You wake up yourselves!

LOL on the "perm" comment! A/k/a "Big Hair" or "Mall Hair." :-) I remember that pic in the Fam book, and thinking,"Yeah, like women have time to sit around looking pretty until the old man gets home..." ;)The translations by Robert, too funny. I especially liked, "You wake up yourselves!"As for these goofy subliminal pics... I got bored and never finished. How many were there? Me Know No Italiano Either...I'm curious: What is the significance of the "A" on the alligator? (Duhhh! I just GOT IT: "A" for Alligator!) ;)Other than that, it looks to me like somebody has a wild imagination, or either some bro's in the art dept. were high on dope, playing games. I used to work in the paste-up/lay-out dept of a newspaper (before computer graphics) and the big joke was to paste-in a "third hand" or a "third foot" on people in the pics, and other such nonsense. Even as adults, who could resist the mischevious tricks? Anything to break up the doldrums at work. LOL! The boss would never know until after the paper was published, and we got the usual tongue-lashing after the fact, but it was worth the laughs. To this day Jay Leno expresses amazement when he sees such oddities in his "Headlines" segment; and I always think of the Last Laugh the paste-up/lay-out personnel are having in newspapers across the country.I would venture to guess the same thing was happening in the art dept. at WT by some very demented -- or bored -- individuals.:) Grits

Amazing how Christianity can take Pagan traditions such as the lord of the hunt and turn him into some kind of satanic symbol. The only symbol I believe ( I may be wrong) that represents Satan is 666 as stated in the Bible. Although it wouldn't surprise me if that idea was stolen from another culture as well.

If you smoke enough crack and stare long enough at a pack of camel's you could see a naked man. I've seen people do it.
And convence themselves it was subliminal messages put out by the tabacco companies to promote more sex. I guess maybe the idea was more sex...more smoking?LOL![]() Edited by - plmkrzy on 10 July 2002 9:12:46 |
