Who is Jehovah/Yahweh?
Thank you for shouting. Jehovah is an Israelite tribal god. Period.
Today, there are people who claim he talks to them. One type of person is locked up and receives daily doses of Thorozine. We call such people "nutballs." Another type of person claims he talks to them and then kills a bunch of people. We call such people "nutballs." A third type of person claims he talks to him and makes $100,000,000 per year using that claim! (Benny Hinn, for example.) We call such people "nutballs."
Benny Hinn has "god" talking to him and then watches people die who trust that god talks to him. (He get's their money first, though.) We call such people "dirtbags and scumbags."
The Watchtower Corporation claims that "god" speaks to them ONLY and then takes the money and ruins lives, and lets people die, AFTER they they get the money. We call such people "nutballs" and "murderers."
If "Jehovah" exists, he sure picks a great bunch of folks to speak for him.

GOD created some people heterosexual, some people homosexual, some people who can't decide, and some who aren't either.Obviously the Creator is bisexual. He has to understand ALL sides of the equation. (Gopher of the throwing my 2 cents in to a ridiculous discussion class)

Let folks believe what they want...or what they need rather!I think it's hilarious that anyone would get their bowels in an uproar about someone claiming Jehovah/Yahweh is actually a group of extraterrestrials who are riding in to see us about May/June of next year. I haven't seen the actual "evidence" of this Planet X, which many claim is Nibiru (based on Sumerian beliefs...translated by Zecharia Sitchen who claims the Sumerian's saw another planet that is no longer around), but it's not any more far-fetched than any other theories about our creation or our evolution. Truth is we are ALL clueless. One guess is as good as another.

Reporter,Your a pisspoor reporter. Where did you get that name? Reporters state facts.....you state bullshit. Why don't you do a "report" on who Yahweh really was from facts...such as writings and tangible evidence instead of drug induced dreams? I said drug induced as I see your explanation only coming from that direction unless your just plain nuts.

bona dia....It only appears comforting to believe noone knows the answers to these questians. Ignorance is not bliss however, it is pitiable when the the result of disinformation, reprehensible when due to contempt for learning. Learning is progressive yes but forward moving. Leaving behind ideas we once believed to be "gospel" is the normal path of growth. Perhaps what you distain are the fruitless debates over interpretation masquerading as scholarship. I share that opinion if so. Yet this exercise succeeds in creating questions and it may be that this is the first step in honest self evaluation and a hunger for less subjective answers.

What you don't know can hurt you.... People without doubts are people who are good at lying to themselves.Of course it helps if everyone you talk to lies to you as well.

So what's this about God being plural in the Old Testament? Any comments on that? I also saw that on the Raelian website. Any validity to that?

Reporter...as to your first post...very interesting indeed. I have read some of Zechariah Stichin and I know where you are coming from. Have you ever read about the Sumarian text they found on stone that predates the Hebrew Torah? It is all very good. I think when we look at the Bible as we know it today we have to also take into account other ancient writings that the whole thing was taken from. According to ancient Hebrew myths (which is all written down) Adam had a first wife by the name of Lilith who would not do it with Adam missionary style. She did not want to take the submissive postion but wanted the superior one because she was Adams equal. When he denied her the top position she whispered gods name and disappeared, went to the Red Sea, set up her own colony and became a demon. Allegedly god sent three angels to speak with her and to tell her to stay away from Adam because he was in the process of making Eve who would be submissive to him. Well, later god allowed Lilith to take the lives of the first born of all of Adams decendants unless they did a nice little ritual during the first eight days of life where they drew a circle around the child and wrote the name of the three angels within the circle. I site this "myth" because I wonder what ever became of ALL the books writen by the ancient peoples, and who was it that picked the books that modern Jews and Christians read? I think all of this needs to be taken into account as well. I also thought it was very interesting that when Jesus was born that other enlighted beings came into this world either shortly before or after. Also the Masons have some pretty interesting stuff too, Charles Taze Russell got a lot of his stuff from the Masons and was rumored to be a 32 degree Mason. Maybe that is the reason for the pyramidology he was into? He has a pyramid at his grave site...very interesting and also look at the WT old buildings with the Egyptian ornamental stuff on it and Charles even put the Egyptian symbols on the outside of his Dawn books. All very interesting and a worth while research project as well. After all folks weren't we taught to ,,,"Make sure of all things",,,?Hugs FromaUnTiE M
