JESUS CHRIST -- IS HE THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, THE FIRST AND THE LAST, AND THE BEGINNING AND THE END, THE SUPREME BEING?

My purpose in Posting all of these Scriptures is to get everyone's opinions and beliefs on these Scriptures. I will be adding my comments on them soon.

My goal is to learn more about The Father and The Son.

I know that believing in the Trinity is I believe, NOT a requirement for Salvation, however, I believe that believing that Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God and our Mediator AND believing in Jesus Christ's Sacrifice is the requirement for Salvation, here is an example:

Luke 23:39: And one of the hanged criminals blasphemed Him, saying, If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.
Luke 23:40: But answering, the other (criminal) rebuked him, saying, Do you not fear God, for you are in the same judgment?
Luke 23:41: And we indeed justly, for we receive things worthy of what we did. But this One did nothing wrong.
Luke 23:42: And he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me when You come in Your Kingdom.
Luke 23:43: And Jesus said to him, Truly I say to you, Today you will be with Me in Paradise.

I doubt that the criminal had real good knowledge of the Trinity.

All Bible Scriptures below are from the "Literal Translation of the Holy Bible":

    ALPHA AND OMEGA SCRIPTURES:

Revelation 1:7: "Behold, He comes with the clouds," and "every eye will see Him, and the ones who pierced" Him, and all the tribes of the Earth "will wail on account of Him." Yes, Amen. (See Daniel 7:13; Zechariah 12:10)
Revelation 1:8: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, says the Lord, the One who is, and who was, and who is coming, the Almighty.

Revelation 1:10: I came to be in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
Revelation 1:11: saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last; also, What you see, write in a scroll, and send to the seven assemblies of Asia: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
Revelation 1:12: And I turned to see the voice which spoke with me.
Revelation 1:13: And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, having been clothed to the feet, and having been girded with a golden girdle at the breasts.

Revelation 1:17: And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet, as dead. And He put His right hand on me, saying to me, Do not fear. I am the First and the Last,
Revelation 1:18: and the Living One; and I became dead; and, behold, I am living forever and ever. Amen. And I have the keys to Hell, and of death.

Revelation 21:5: And the One sitting on the throne said, Behold! I make all things new. And He says to me, Write, because these Words are faithful and true.
Revelation 21:6: And He said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending. To the one thirsting, I will freely give of the fountain of the Water of Life.
Revelation 21:7: The one overcoming will inherit all things, and I will be God to him, and he will be the son to Me.

Revelation 22:12: And, behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to each as his work is.
Revelation 22:13: I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the First and the Last.

Revelation 22:16: I, Jesus, sent My angel to testify these things to you over the assemblies. I am the Root and Offspring of David, the bright and morning Star.

Revelation 22:20: The One testifying these things says, Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen. Yes, come, Lord Jesus!

I think it is obvious that Jesus Christ is THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA, despite whatever the Watchtower says about it currently (they have back and forth on this also).

I find it ridiculous how the NWT uses quotation marks to prevent the Alpha & Omega in Rev. 22 from referring to Jesus.

    Hi Leoaia!

Yes, I too hate it when the Society constantly belittles and downgrades Christ Jesus our Lord -- and they TWIST and PERVERT Scriptures around and add words to them too to support their opinions!

BELOW ARE SCRIPTURES THAT WERE PROPHECIES ABOUT JEHOVAH THE SUPREME BEING, ALMIGHTY GOD, AND YET, THEY WERE FULFILLED BY JESUS CHRIST:

Zechariah 12:8: In that day Jehovah shall protect around those living in Jerusalem. And it will be, he who is feeble among them in that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the Angel of Jehovah before them.
Zechariah 12:9: And it shall be in that day, I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
Zechariah 12:10: And I will pour on the house of David, and on those living in Jerusalem, the Spirit of Grace and of Prayers. And they shall look on Me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for an only son, and they shall be bitter over Him, like the bitterness over the first-born.
Zechariah 12:11: In that day the mourning in Jerusalem shall be great, like the mourning of Hadad-rimmon in the Valley of Megiddo.

John 19:33: But on coming to Jesus, when they saw He was dead already, they did not break His legs.
John 19:34: But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a lance, and at once Blood and Water came out.
John 19:35: And the one seeing has borne witness and his witness is true; and that one knows that he speaks truly, that you may believe.
John 19:36: For these things happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled, "Not a bone of Him shall be broken." (See Exodus 12:46 and Psalm 34:20)
John 19:37: And again, a different Scripture says, "They shall look at Him whom they have pierced." (See Zechariah 12:10)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zechariah 11:12: And I said to them, If it is good in your eyes, give My price; and if not, let it go. And they weighed My price, thirty pieces of silver.
Zechariah 11:13: And Jehovah said to Me, Throw it to the potter, the magnificent price at which I was valued by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw it to the potter in the House of Jehovah.

Matthew 26:14: Then one of the Twelve going to the Chief Priests, the one called Judas Iscariot,
Matthew 26:1: said, What will you give to me, and I will deliver Him up to you? "And they weighed to him thirty silver pieces." (See Zechariah 11:12)
Matthew 26:1: And from then he sought opportunity that he might betray Him.

Matthew 27:3: Then Judas, the one betraying Him, seeing that He was condemned, repenting, returned the thirty pieces of silver to the Chief Priests and the Elders,
Matthew 27:4: saying, I sinned, betraying innocent Blood. But they said, What is it to us? You see to it.
Matthew 27:5: And tossing the silver pieces into the Temple, he left. And going away he hanged himself.
Matthew 27:6: And taking the pieces of silver, the Chief Priests said, It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, since it is the price of Blood.
Matthew 27:7: And taking counsel, they bought of them the potter's field, for burial for the strangers.
Matthew 27:8: So that field was called Field of Blood until today.
Matthew 27:9: Then was fulfilled that spoken through Jeremiah the Prophet, saying, And I took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him who had been priced, on whom they of the sons of Israel set a price,
Matthew 27:10: and gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord directed me. (See Zechariah 11:12 and 13)

Acts 1:18: Indeed, then, this one bought a field out of the reward of unrighteousness; and falling headlong, he burst in the middle, and poured out all his bowels.
Acts 1:19: And it became known to all those living in Jerusalem, so as that field to be called in their own dialect, Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood.

Philippians 2:9: Because of this also God highly exalted Him and gave Him a Name above every name,

This is a good list of texts, but many will be unmoved by them. IMO it all depends what you personally feel. The arguments for the Trinity have been raging for nearly two thousand years and I guess when it comes down to it, the most important thing is a personal relationship with God and not some esoteric arguments. well, that's my feeling, anyway.

    Cheers, Ozzie

My "Little Computer People" Philosophy of life helps shed light on Jesus as the manifestation of God. The Creator as like man is the creator of the computer. As such he is not subject to the laws of the world he creates. In fact the only way a creature from the created world could at all communicate with or perceive the existence of the creator from his inpercievable world is by means of an interface. It requires a mediator to reflect the creator to the greatest extent possible in the created world. In this world this interface or mediator is Jesus Christ the Word. He is the manifestation of the Creator in the world of the creation. He also is the only directly created thing. Through him all things else were created. In a sense he is the creator of all things though he himself is creation. He is properly referred to in scripture as the Alpha and Omega because he is the first and last of all creation.

Thinking of Christ in this way answers all the questions we can have about Christ and God.

    JESUS CHRIST IS CALLED GOD

John 1:1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2: He was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3: All things came into being through Him, and without Him not even one thing came into being that has come into being.

John 20:28: And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!
John 20:29: Jesus said to him, Because you have seen Me, Thomas, you have believed. Blessed are the ones not seeing, and believing.

John 10:30: I and the Father are One!
John 10:31: Then again the Jews took up stones, that they might stone Him.
John 10:32: Jesus answered them, I showed you many good works from My Father. For which work of them do you stone Me?

Psalm 45:6: Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; the scepter of Your Kingdom is a scepter of uprightness.
Psalm 45:7: You love righteousness and hate wickedness; on account of this God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your fellows.

Hebrews 1:3: who being the Shining Splendor of His Glory, and the Express Image of His Essence, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, having made purification of our sins through Himself, He sat down on the right of the Majesty On High, (See Psalm 110:1)
Hebrews 1:4: having become so much better than the angels, He has inherited a Name more excellent than they.

Isaiah 42:8: I am Jehovah; that is My Name; and I will not give My Glory to another

John 5:16: And because of this, the Jews persecuted Jesus and lusted to kill Him, because He did these things on a Sabbath.
John 5:17: But Jesus answered them, My Father works until now, and I work.
John 5:18: Because of this, therefore, the Jews lusted the more to kill Him, for not only did He break the Sabbath, but also called God His own Father, making Himself equal to God.
John 5:19: Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son is not able to do anything from Himself, except what He may see the Father doing; for whatever that One does, these things also the Son does likewise.
John 5:20: For the Father loves the Son and shows to Him all things which He does. And He will show Him greater works than these in order that you may marvel.
John 5:21: For even as the Father raises the dead, and gives life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills.
John 5:22: For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son,
John 5:23: so that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. The one not honoring the Son does not honor the Father who has sent Him.
John 5:24: Truly, truly, I say to you, The one who hears My Word, and believes the One who has sent Me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
John 5:25: Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live.
John 5:26: For even as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to have life in Himself.
John 5:27: And He also gave authority to Him to execute judgment, for He is the Son of Man.
John 5:28: Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice.
John 5:29: And they will come out, the ones having done good into a resurrection of life; and the ones having practiced evil into a resurrection of judgment.
John 5:30: I am able to do nothing from Myself; just as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, for I do not seek My will, but the will of the One sending Me, the Father.

Matthew 19:28: And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, You who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His Glory, you also will sit on twelve thrones, judging the Twelve Tribes of Israel.

Matthew 16:27: For the Son of Man is about to Come with His angels in the Glory of His Father. And then "He will give reward to each according to his practice." (See LXX-Psalm 61:13 and Proverbs 24:12 and MT-Psalm 62:12)

Matthew 24:30: And then the Sign of the Son of Man will appear in the Heavens. And then all the tribes of the land will wail. And they will see the Son of Man Coming on the clouds of Heaven with power and much Glory. (See Daniel 7:13)

Matthew 25:31: But when the Son of Man Comes in His Glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His Glory.

Luke 24:26: Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into His Glory?

John 1:14: And the Word became Flesh and tabernacled among us. And we beheld His Glory, Glory as of an Only Begotten from the Father, full of grace and of truth.

John 2:11: This beginning of the miraculous signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee. And it revealed His Glory, and His Disciples believed into Him.

John 8:54: Jesus answered, If I glorify Myself, My Glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, whom you say is your God.

John 17:5: And now Father, glorify Me with Yourself, with the Glory which I had with You before the existence of the world.

Acts 4:10: let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the Name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in this Name this one stands before you whole.
Acts 4:11: This One is the Stone counted worthless by you the builders, the One who has come to be into the Head of the Corner; (See Psalm 118:22)
Acts 4:12: and there is salvation in no other One, for neither is there any other name under Heaven having been given among men by which we must be saved.

You don't have to believe or accept the trinity doctrine to believe that the bible says Jesus is God.

JESUS CHRIST WAS WORSHIPED AND HE ACCEPTED THE WORSHIP:

Exodus 20:2: I am Jehovah your God, who has brought you out from the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
Exodus 20:3: You shall not have any other gods before Me.

Deuteronomy 6:13: You shall fear Jehovah your God, and you shall serve Him, and you shall swear by His name.
Deuteronomy 6:14: You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you,
Deuteronomy 6:15: for Jehovah your God is a jealous God in your midst, lest the anger of Jehovah your God burn against you, and He destroy you from off the face of the Earth.

Matthew 4:10: Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it has been written: "You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve Him only." (See Deuteronomy 6:13)

Acts 10:25: And as Peter was coming in, meeting him, Cornelius fell at his feet and worshiped.
Acts 10:26: But Peter lifted him up, saying, Stand up! I myself am also a man.

Acts 14:11: And seeing what Paul did, the crowd lifted up their voice in Lycaonian, saying, The gods have come down to us, becoming like men.
Acts 14:12: And they called Barnabas, Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the leader in speaking.
Acts 14:13: And the priest of Zeus being before their city, carrying bulls and garlands to the gates, he wished to sacrifice along with the crowds.
Acts 14:14: But Paul and Barnabas, the apostles, hearing, tearing their garments, they sprang into the crowd, crying out,
Acts 14:15: and saying, Men, why do you do these things? We also are men of like feelings to you, announcing the gospel to you to turn you from these vanities to the living God, who "made the Heaven and the Earth and the sea, and all things in them," (See Exodus 20:11)

Colossians 2:18: Let no one condemn you, delighting in humility and worship of the angels, pushing into things which he has not seen, being puffed up by the mind of his flesh without cause

Revelation 19:10: And I fell before his feet to worship him, but he said to me, Behold! Stop! I am a fellow-slave of yours, and of your Brothers, having the Testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the Testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 22:8: And I, John, was the one seeing and hearing these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel showing me these things.
Revelation 22:9: And he said to me, Behold! Stop! For I am your fellow-slave, and of your Brothers the Prophets, and of the ones keeping the Words of this Book. Do worship to God.

Hebrews 1:6: And again, when He (The Father) brought the First-Born (The Son) into the world, He said, "And let all the angels of God worship Him." (Even the older New World Translation Bibles say "Worship" in this Scripture instead of "Obeisance".

Matthew 2:1: And when Jesus had been born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men arrived from the east to Jerusalem,
Matthew 2:2: saying, Where is He born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.

Matthew 2:11: And having come into the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary. And falling down, they worshiped Him. And opening their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold and frankincense and myrrh. (The Watchtower's own "My Book of Bible Stories" says that the "Wise Men" WORSHIPED JESUS!)

Joshua 5:13: And it happened, when Joshua was beside Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked. And, behold! A Man stood in front of him, and His drawn sword was in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, Are You for us, or for our foes?
Joshua 5:14: And He said, No, for I now come as the Commander of the Army of Jehovah. And Joshua fell on his face to the Earth and worshiped. And he said to Him, What does my Lord speak to His slave?
Joshua 5:15: And the Commander of the Army of Jehovah said to Joshua, Take your shoe off your foot, for the place on which you are standing is Holy. And Joshua did so.
Joshua 6:1: And Jericho was closed, and was shut in from the face of the sons of Israel; no one going out, and no one coming in.
Joshua 6:2: And Jehovah said to Joshua, See I have given Jericho and its king, mighty warriors, into your hand.

Psalm 45:11: And the King will desire your beauty, for He is your Lord, and you shall worship Him.

Psalm 45:17: I will make remembered Your Name in every generation and generation; on this account people shall thank You forever and ever.

Matthew 14:25: But in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went out to them, walking on the sea.
Matthew 14:26: And seeing Him walking on the sea, the Disciples were troubled, saying, It is a phantom! And they cried out from the fear.
Matthew 14:27: But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Be comforted! I AM! Do not fear.
Mat 14:28 And answering Him, Peter said, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the waters.
Matthew 14:29: And He said, Come! And going down from the boat, Peter walked on the waters to go to Jesus.
Matthew 14:30: But seeing the wind strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me!
Matthew 14:31: And immediately stretching out the hand, Jesus took hold of him, and said to him, Little-Faith, why did you doubt?
Matthew 14:32: And coming into the boat, the wind ceased.
Matthew 14:33: And those in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, Truly, You are the Son of God.

    Absolutely. Without doubt.

My point, if there was a point, was that seemingly endless repeating of scripture texts are not going to bring someone to Christ. Nor will seeking to "prove" the Trinity. Let us, by all means, proclaim the Gospel. That's indeed 'good news'. God will see to the rest.

    God bless.

"All Bible Scriptures below are from the "Literal Translation of the Holy Bible."

What is the "Literal Translation of the Holy Bible"?

Who translated it?  Who publishes it?  Why does it use the name "Jehovah" in the OT instead of the Lord?

    Zechariah, you said:

"Through him all things ELSE were created"

Read John 1:3 carefully, (Also 1 Cor. 8:6; Romans 11:36)

"All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:3
