Partakers of emblems in 2010, 2011 and 2012?

In 2005 the sum of Memorial partakers world wide numbered 8,524. The following year, in 2006, they tallied an increase to 8,758 partakers. In 2007 the number went up again to 9,105. In 2008 the number rose to 9,986. In 2010, the number of partakers grew to 11,202. And recently, it was published that the number in 2011 rose again to the tune of 11,824 partakers (Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2006, p.31; 2007 p.31; 2008, p. 31;2009, p.31;Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2011, p.51; Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2012, p.55 respectively), This is an increase of exactly 3,300 partakers over seven years! (and, haven't some of the elderly ones passed away during this time?). AND...in spite of the Watchtower Society publishing these ever-increasing numbers, they have declared that the number has been decreasing over the years! (The Watchtower, February 15, 2009, pp. 27-28, para.14)

Plus I know of a couple who partake privately due to so much otracism/criticism when they were partaking publicly at the KH.

There must be more.

  JWOP- Thanks for sharing those numbers of partakers the last 6 years or so. It truly shows this is a wacked out organization when they lie about the increasing numbers of partakers - yet at the same time the numbers partaking have increased by about 39 % over the last 6 years from 8,524 partakers to 11, 824 partakers. That's pretty weird and again- a telling sign that somethings seriously wrong and amiss with this organization. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

These numbers are collectively embarrassing for the Watchtower. The numbers also inadvertently suggest that the Watcthower is not "massaging" the numbers in its annual report of their worldwide work, as some have claimed. If the Watchtower were adjusting the numbers to align with their teachings (e.g., that the number of anointed is decreasing), we would not see the consecuative yearly increases since 2005. Yet, at the same time, pressure must be on to "make sense" of the significant increase in the number of attendees who are taking the emblems.

So what triggered the increase 2007 onwards? 

The openning of the door to new annointed. The door was originally closed in 1935 but since most if not all the GB were born after that date, it certainly stretches theircrdibility to lead that organization. So they changed the rules, with the resulting numbers jumping through the roof. Can't wait to see what happens this year

It coincides with this 2007 Watchtower comment.

"Thus it appears that we can not set a specific date for when the calling of Christians to the heavenly hope ends." Watchtower 2007 May 1 p.31

What I love is their reasoning on this matter:

"A number of factors -- including past religious beliefs or even mental or emotional imbalance -- might cause some to assume mistakenly that they have the Heavenly Calling. We thus have no way of knowing the exact number of anointed ones on Earth; nor do we need to know." (The Watchtower, August 15, 2011, p.22)

Don't bode to well for the Elders who approved these folk as baptismal candidates

it shows they baptised people who didn't have a clear understandin' of the things taught

I agree, Wasblind. I mean, if they were truly indoctrinated to the point of being eligible for baptism, then how does this kind of thing slip through?

And then to claim that others are mentally ill..... that's just so low.

And then they finish it off with "We have no way of knowing the exact number...nor do we need to know"....

REALLY????

SO THEN WHY THE COMPULSION TO COUNT THEM AND PUBLISH THE NUMBERS?????

Because the teaching of the anointed partakers has no basis in reality, it puts a JW is in a hard spot if they are asked to explain why the number of partakers are increasing. As this clip shows, they are even willing to resort to outright fabrication if asked about this.
