Wachtower Dec 1 2011 p.10 "French village faces influx of apocalypse believers...they believe the world will end 21 December 2012 when the end of....ancient Maya calander...Despite predictions by calamity-howling religious leaders, pseudoscientists, and any other prognosticators, earth will be in existence for a long time...when will this occur? No human knows. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES DO NOT TRY TO PREDICT WHEN GOD WILL DESTROY THE WICKED...{really?} ......they LEAVE THAT SOLELY IN THE HANDS OF THEIR HEAVENLY FATHER...." * *My Footnote: Except for the years 1914, 1916, 1925, 1942, 1975 and "this Generation of 1914" which was our bad. |

Only if you believe it will happen "soon" are you sane in JW-land.... JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES DO NOT TRY TO PREDICT WHEN GOD WILL DESTROY THE WICKED That is an outright lie, when you consider their overlapping generation teaching. If their feet are held to the fire, (which of course they should be) then their teaching says the world will end by about 2114. (1914+100 for first generation and +100 for the second) The exercise of typing out that doctrine makes me realize beyond any doubt that the the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses is composed of 100% dumbasses. |

My younger daughter has her birthday on December 21. She'll be five. The end of the world would be a helluva b-day present, wouldn't it? |

Once more, the WTS tries to rewrite its own history. Sadly, if you didn't know any better, a person could be inclined to believe them.

No, all the WTS does is make statements like ... The storm clouds of Armageddon cannot be far-off. Soon it will be time for the Son of man to come to execute Jehovah's judgment on the ungodly. - w2011 5/15 p. 15 par. 18. When Christ wields the "rod of iron," which he will do very soon now, it means that all the kingdoms of this world will be smashed out of existence. This nation-destroying action was foretold at Daniel 2:44 - w1954 8/15 p. 486. ... thereby manipulating everyone into a perpetual state of high alert. I don't know which is worse. Keeping everyone hyped, thinking the end's coming tomorrow for decades, or getting them to focus on a date that will inevitably disappoint. |

Bungi Bill:Once more, the WTS tries to rewrite its own history. Sadly, if you didn't know any better, a person could be inclined to believe them.
Excerpt from 1984, by George Orwell:
As soon as Winston had dealt with each of the messages, he clipped his speakwritten corrections to the appropriate copy of the Times and pushed them into the pneumatic tube. Then, with a movement which was as nearly as possible unconscious, he crumpled up the original message and any notes that he himself had made, and dropped them into the memory hole to be devoured by the flames. What happened in the unseen labyrinth to which the pneumatic tubes led, he did not know in detail, but he did know in general terms. As soon as all the corrections which happened to be necessary in any particular number of the Times had been assembled and collated, that number would be reprinted, the original copy destroyed, and the corrected copy placed on the files in its stead. This process of continuous alteration was applied not only to newspapers, but to books, periodicals, pamphlets, posters, leaflets, films, sound tracks, cartoons, photographs – to every kind of literature or document which might conceivably hold any political or ideological significance. Day by day and almost minute by minute the past was brought up to date. In this way, every prediction made by the Party could be shown by documentary evidence to have been correct; nor was any item of news, or any expression of opinion, which conflicted with the needs of the moment, ever allowed to remain on record. All history was a palimpsest, scraped clean and reinscribed exactly as often as was necessary. In no case would it have been possible, once the deed was done, to prove that any falsification had taken place…. … A number of the Times which might, because of changes in the political alignment, or mistaken prophesies uttered by Big Brother, have been rewritten a dozen times still stood on the files bearing its original date, and no other copy existed to contradict it. Books, also, were recalled and rewritten again and again, and were invariably reissued without any admission that any alteration had been made. Even the written instructions which Winston received, and which he invariably got rid of as soon as he had dealt with them, never stated or implied that an act of forgery was to be committed; always the reference was to slips, errors, misprints, or misquotations which it was necessary to put right in the interests of accuracy.

First, I can remember the fallout from the 1975 disaster. They were still blaming the witlesses for it. They were so sure that Armageddon would be sometime in late 1975, as far back as the late 1960s. College was out, and people were urged to sell out and pious-sneer during the early 1970s. And those who did wasted everything. As for the real end, it already happened. In fact, it was nothing more than the end of the Age of Pisces, and this past February it ended (though some will debate the real date, since there is no way of knowing the exact date and it is theoretically possible to retrograde a few seconds back into Pisces before entering Aquarius once for all time. However, the end of the age is nothing dramatic. You still have Christi-SCAM-ity trying to hold onto Pisces for dear life (holding us hostage with them), while signs of Aquarius (including increased questioning of religion) are rapidly accelerating. You probably didn't know the exact moment, unless you were a professional astrologer and had access to the exact position of the earth's equatorial plane relative with the sun's. If that is a relief for the world, it is a big disappointment for hard-core Christians looking for the Second Coming. To those still looking for Jesus' return, the Rapture, or Armageddon, I recommend studying Jewish prophesies and trying to get in-depth research about their religion. If you can find sources, you will probably find that they don't even believe in Jesus--and are in fact (at the upper levels, at least) are trying to enslave the whole world. People are looking for the Christ, and those at the very top will probably pretend to be that Messiah. Those who do the research and realize that "the end of the world" is nothing more significant than entry into the Age of Aquarius will not be taken for this (or, just as bad, any Christian scams that urge people to sell out and prepare for an end that never comes). And, people like Harold Camping and OBVES (and those running the Washtowel) would be out of business if everyone realized that the "end of the world" is nothing more than the end of a "season" or age. No big bangs, 45 kg hailstones, fire coming from above, fissures in the earth, or raptures. Just a transition from centralized religion to people being their own gods (like Satan originally intended). |

WHAT FUTURE FOR THE YOUNG?, Awake! 22 May 1969, pages 14 & 15 YOUNG or old, you need to face up to the fact that this system is not going to change its direction. Under Satan's influence, it will continue to deteriorate rapidly in its remaining years. [Emphasis and italics mine] |
