Thanks for sharing.  It is nice the Organization takes the time to clarify such matters.  Sooooooo .... I guess only "University" 4-year degrees or higher are classified as "higher education" ... nice to have a clarification of what is approved

    ROFL:

“Immoral use of” conveys the thought not just of touching but of operating, manipulating, or employing something. For example, it is one thing to touch a musical instrument; it is something different to make “use of” a musical instrument.

Did they just give us a euphamism for a beej? LOL

It is a wonderful thing to come to the attention of our loving, experienced shepherds.  How they look after our interests.  I think the Stasi had similar methods but were more restrained and compasionate.

if an elder or a ministerial servant is promoting higher education to others for the material advantages ... The body of elders may therefore determine that the brother no longer qualifies to serve.

So stay in ignorance and unemployed. And in case you make a family later you can put your minor children to work and earn money to feed you.

F**K off retarded  A******S of the GB and let me piss you with all my heart:

    Your 'brother'

Thank you sooooo much for sharing! Since I'm a university student getting higher educated, I found this extremely interesting.

Is there a scriptural example of "confidential BOE correspondence" in the first century? Of course not. Even their meeting of the "governing body" was reported in Acts.

    It all screams "cult!"

Ugh, most people go to college because being a window-washer or a janitor is just not enough money, not for the "status" and "all the money." Jeez, what an idiotic letter. Also they're totally judging people with the whole "how does the congregation view them" crap, which they're NOT supposed to do, but which they always do anyway.

Can you imagine Peter or Paul or James or John writing a letter to the congregations detailing what porneia is?  Doesn't the WTS say that touching someone's breast is not as bad as twice?  The fact that such details aren't in the Bible means they did not need any so-called GB (word not in bible) to make minute rules about it.

    Matthew 15:9

    New Living Translation (NLT)

Their worship is a farce,  for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’[a]

    What is porneia?

The definition of porneia is outlined in paragraph 5, chapter 5, of the

    Shepherding

textbook. Therein, three expressions are highlighted: “immoral use of,” “lewd intent,” and

“manipulation.” At the Kingdom Ministry School, these expressions were elaborated on as follows:

“Immoral use of” conveys the thought not just of touching but of operating, manipulating,

    or employing something. For example, it is one thing to touch a musical instrument;

it is something different to make “use of” a musical instrument.

“Lewd intent” identifies the motive. For example, a doctor may need to manipulate the

genitals in examining a patient. A veterinarian, farmer, or rancher may do something

similar to an animal. However, the intent is not sexual gratification.

“Manipulation” conveys the idea of operating something, whether by use of the hands or

some other means, and does not require skin-to-skin contact. Momentary touching of another’s

genitals, even if intentional, would generally not be considered

    porneia.

It is the responsibility of the judicial committee to use the Scriptures to weigh carefully the

facts in each case and to determine whether

    porneia

is involved. This responsibility is especially

We need to send this to every newspaper we can find. In this day and age especially in this economy an education is important. This shows how controlling and manipulative these bastards really are.

Ps. Lurking elders this is your golden ticket. Encourage someone to pursue an education and you are out! No judicial committee, you don't have to make any excuses to step down, just express your real feelings about education.

I can't beleive what I'm reading!!! So, if I go back for my MBA or encourage someone to go to university I could lose my MS status????

My fading from the WTBS may not take so long after all...

This letter is ridiculous...why do they think that people only educate themselves for status, pay ect...6 months after graduating with my Bsc I got a job as a manager in a large company...do I go around and tell people and brag that I'm a manager @ xyz? Do I tell people how much money I make?

What I've noticed is that the younger folks can't afford to leave their parents home because of the salary they get...some parents tell their kids that they can stay with them as long as they pioneer ect...that's so hypocritical.

    Peace

Is the "musical instrument" they're talking about an organ?

    organ

Organs are for more than touching! In the hands of someone that knows how to make "use of" an organ, the experience is divine!

The emphasis on the Shepharding book is interesting.  The Bible seems to be an afterthought.
