You guys might have read the article below before but this was the first time I was reading this and I certainly got chills from reading it! I couldn't believe my eyes! (You can read the bold type at least, if you don't want to read the whole thing.)

So easy to forget they come from a Company. A book 'publishing' company..... and they still hang on to the notion of "Publisher". Unbelievable. If only JWs would look to their own history. As for disfellowshipping.... nothing to say other than go read the whole account of the prodigal son - if that parable is part of the model they have signally failed. I don't recall the father giving 6 month's worth of proven repentance before he threw that party! Idiots. |

Before that, Ratherfart reckoned excommunication wus from the Devil, but just my luck, when I get born, nooo lite, I'm gonna get shunned if I don't fit the mold. If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. |

marking and the only comment would be that a jw would say it is 'old' 1952, doesn't matter if it is still relevant. |

He has just as much right to go from house to house as anyone else if he wants to, but this congregation will not give him any territory. They will not accept his reports. Awwwwwww! I'm so f*cking heartbroken! I'm glad I don't have a coffee right now because I'd be spewing it all over my monitor. W |

This is from 1952? What would happen if they published that today? I should print this and show it to my mother. |

I didn't know that there was *Company Rates and Pioneer Rates* for the Literature. Which only proves they are a Publishing Corporation and not a Religion: 15 If this one goes out in the field service, maybe getting the books at the counter at the regular rates instead of company rates or pioneer rates, and goes out from door to door, we cannot stop him. He has just as much right to go from house to house as anyone else if he wants to, but this congregation will not give him any territory. WTF is up with that? I recall paying 0.15 cents for the rags when I was in. We then charged 0.20 or 0.25 cents for them at the door. What ever we could get, since we wanted to cover our costs. My mom was that cheap that it really did come down to covering costs. Oh, and regarding the DFing: A-holes. I can recall people being DFd and being expected to treat them like they were invisible. Then it happened to everyone in my family; first my Dad. He never went to the meetings again. And we became invisible to everyone in the KH. Few years later Mom got DFd. Sis and I became invisible. Guilt by association. Mom got reinstated, yet, we were all stained by her *Conduct Unbecoming a Christian*. Sis got DFd and Mom and I again were guilty by association. I am so sick and tired of the perverted way they treat people. One day you are in, the next, you are out. How to break up families, Cult style. Thanks Jehovah. Real loving. |

There's been some debate on this board about rumors that the Society has been mulling over whether to start a process of DFing inactive ones (or at least considering them as DAd - same difference though). This apparently is not a new idea. For paragraph 2 in this 1952 article sets the groundwork for such action. Christ Jesus even disfellowships on what we probably might think less grounds than all of the things described above. Just because a person is lukewarm, and he is neither hot nor cold, Christ Jesus spews him out. He also declares, at Revelation 3:16 (NW): “So, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of my mouth.” Well, that is a disfellowshiping. Christ Jesus is not going to have any lukewarm persons permanently in his organization. You are either for him or against him. You will either come into the congregation of the Lord God and be his minister or eventually go out into the Devil’s organization. You cannot pussyfoot. You cannot be lukewarm. You cannot be passive. You have to be positively for the Lord God. |

So if the DF'd person comes to the meeting you were supposed to pretend they weren't there, unless they wanted to buy literature....at that point they became a valued customer. I wonder what would happen if a DF'd would go to the literature counter today now that there's a donation arrangement? |

WHOA NELLY! Stop the presses! Gotta write this down: WT 1952, March 1, Page 142, Paragraph 18. "He is sinning against the Holy Spirit."
BTW, "Sinning against the HS" is the only sin in the Bible that is unforgivable. And Bible God, in his infinite love, mercy and wisdom, fails to specify what it means.
