Thank you for this information! Floyd Kite's address in 1980 alluded to this incident:
In Japan, the Yearbook reported that when World War II was over, the leading brother in that country who had been the spearhead of the work there, sort of a branch overseer, went on national television in 1945 in Japan and rejected and renounced Jehovah’s Witnesses. Even though there was only a handful of Jehovah’s Witnesses in that country. What an impact that has on us!http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/11/127834/1.ashxThe 1998 Yearbook discusses the "apostasy" of branch overseer Junzo Akashi (allegedly on grounds of immorality) and how he notified Knorr in 1947 that he "no longer agreed with Bible teachings". |

Hi! Leolaia How do you do? You are so lovely. The 1998 Yearbook discusses the "apostasy" of branch overseer Junzo Akashi (allegedly on grounds of immorality) This information is not true. He(Junzo) did marriage 3 times in his life. He was divorced from the first wife. He remarried in Japan. He did third marriage several years later. He is not an immoral person. |

Thank you. Do you know Gekijyouban Jyanguru Taitei? That is where my name here came from -- Leo and Laia, see? :) I've been to Japan twice, enjoyed it both times.
Here is a fair article on Akashi:http://www.adam.com.au/bstett/JwAkashi106.htm

Thanks Possible-San Anata wa ikaga de gozai mas'ka I appreciate your info to the forum. You have to forgive Wa-Hah-Penn-San We are all a little stupid when faced with inter-cultural communication. I've used http://translate.google.com/ too. I like to use google translate service even if it isn't perfect. Wishing you well. Caitlin |
