The additional features available to logged-in users are for official communication with the local branch office of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The branch office assigns these accounts. There is no provision for requesting a personal account.
This is the message that you get when you click the box 'who should log in to Jw.org?'

Looks like a prelude to getting the jdubs set up to print the mags at the congregation location or something.

I get hives just going to any official Watchtower site. Creeps me out.

From what I understand, users with valid login accounts for official communication are congregation secretaries who send in field service reports. This also applies to accounts servants who verifies wire-transfers from the congregation banking account to the WTS account, called electronic funds transfer.

I don't trust any official Washtowel site that requires you to register to get access to.  It might plant a cookie in your computer, and that cookie could track your visited web sites.  Or worse, it might put spyware in your computer that narks on you to Brother Hounder automatically if you visit an apostate web site or porn.

Has anyone ever tried to guess the login of a family member elder to get in?

Nebeska Nada, I sent you a PM too. I was just curious if any letters of interest have come through lately. Does anyone post this stuff online?

With this kind of stuff, maybe they'll start allowing only active JWs to access jw.org...

I'm not techie enough to understand the ramifications, but could someone with full access post subversive stuff on the WT site if  they were so inclined ?
