Hops and yeast in the brew!

Just bought my first kit to make beer. Mr Beer it is called. Simple process and directions. If all goes well I should be sipping the results in a few weeks.

Anyone ever make beer?

Fun starting spot, but Mr Beer won't give you great results. I'd recommend finding a local homebrew supplier and getting a better set up, but as I said good start ;)

I brewed fairly prolifically for a few years but have dropped off for the last couple due to life circumstances. I still have all my gear and intend to brew again in the near future. I'll gladly share any recipes or tips if you're interested :D

Great. I am sure to have some questions if I get the fever. We'll see how the first shot goes and take it from there. There is a nice brew shop in the city, but I have not visited it yet.
