This evening, my daughter and her hubby and two of my g/daughters took me out to a terrific Oriental buffet. When we'd finished eating and the waitress had brought the check and the fortune cookies, I started to wait until the g/kids and my daughter and her hubby had each gotten their cookie, thinking that I'd take the one that was left for myself. Then I thought...."Whathahell! Ya gotta seize the day," and I reached out and grabbed one before they'd gotten theirs.

When I opened the cookie and took out the little strip of paper with my "fortune" on it, I read it and thought, "should I show it to 'em?.....or not."

I kinda chuckled to myself and decided to "go for the gusto." When I handed it to my SIL, he read it and burst out laughing and passed it to my daughter, who read it and then said, "I feel like I'm having an aneurism....honest to God, all sight and sound disappeared momentarily." Then she burst out laughing.  We all were laughing so hard for so long that I got carrots up my nose.

The topic of this thread is what was printed on my fortune cookie strip (sans the "BWAAHAHA)

As some of yall already know, my daughter insisted that I move in with them a few months ago.

Frannie (of the wonders which lottery she's gonna win class)

Its good to have family, huh Frannie?  I'll have to win the lottery too.

I'm planning on getting a second job soon so that I can pay off some debt and then start putting something into a retirement plan.  As of right now, I've got nothing to look forward to but Social Security.  A very scary prospect in more ways than one.

Yes, it is, Luna2.  Especially family with a sense of humor!  That's all I've got, too, Luna....I'm applying for SSI/SSD, so that's what I'll have to live on when it comes thru for me......now....what'd I do with that lottery ticket I bought?
