What Are You Getting/Buying For Mother's Day?

My poor mom went to her grave tormented by all the abusive sicko s**t from demented dubs.

My revenge on the watchtower is my present to her.

 

Good gift, man.

Well, my mother is still a dub, so she will receive the same thing she has for the last 3 decades... butkus.

However, my wife is getting an hour at the spa getting various massages, and I fixed the ceiling fan in the kitchen today for her, and stuck a bow on the switch! It's her first mothers day as a mother!

So far I got a bottle of Scotch from #2 son. I was out of Scotch, too.

Tomorrow (Mother's Day) my daughter (Princess) and two of my daughters in law, all mothers, and I are going to the casino for the day. It's a real Mom's Day Off for us. We'll have dinner too.

I know I'll get more gifts, but only one gave it to me a day early.

My mother is a loyal JW, but still loves Mother's Day, so I told her I would take her out to lunch next week since I will be gone tomorrow.  She was all for it.

I get a whole bunch of nothing for mothers day, no one will probably wish me a happy mothers day...my Devin would but he cant talk yet. I sent my mom a card and will give her a gift in person next time I see her.

My mother won't get squat.  She really is a non-mother anyway as her loyalty is to the WTS. 

My fiancee won't tell me what we are doing.  Normally I figure out everything (gifts and events) before he can tell me, but this time I decided to let him have his fun.  I know my daugher got me a MAC eyeshadow.

My JW Mother in law used to have Turkey on Thanksgiving..but say it was because they were on sale..not because it was Thanksgiving..

oops..forgot to say what I got.

My oldest daughter came over and her hubby fixed my computor..

Also a plant with a huge purple flower in it.Don't have any idea what it is.But it is pretty.Hope I don't kill it.

And a box of candy and pizza..which they ate half of..(Candy)

My youngest son came over and fixed my shower so it works..I was starting to stink!

Then he found out what was wrong with my van after it was broken for a year!



My middle child ..a daughter..just found out she had pluriesy TB. So she is not feeling too good. She has a 6 year old that keeps her busy also. But she is making me a spinach dish I love!

So I am expremly happy! Usually I am lucky to get a card!

I'm taking my mom to see my aunt at the nursing home, we're doing the FINAL walkthrough on our new home (closing on the 12th), and I'll sit and wait for my daughter and the little ones to arrive from Colorado (due in tues/wed).

Oh...we bought a bunch of flowers and stuff to landscape the front yard of the new house.

I called my Mom yesterday (Sat) and at the end of the conversation I wished her a Happy Mother's Day and she said in her usual JW stance "everyday is Mother's Day for me", and I took this opportunity to let her know that while I understand she doesn't celebrate this holiday I just wanted to wish her a Happy Mother's Day and let her know I acknowledge what a wonderful Mother she has always been to me.

I guess I outed myself as celebrating holidays now, LOL. I would love to send her something but I know she would feel guilty and not really enjoy whatever I send to her because to her it would represent something detestable and be a reminder of her daughter she has lost to the world. So I'll respect her JW beliefs even though I don't respect the JW's attitudes toward holidays.

I'm sure I'll get phone calls from my kids today they never forget to wish me a Happy Mother's Day! I long for no gifts and tell them all the time to save their money it's the thought that matters to me not the gifts.

I'm bringing to my mom a special meat pie that she loves along with a blueberry pie and candy. Minimus knows how to make his mom break the rules.

I had my Mother's Day celebration yesterday: Went up to the Lucky Mojo Curio Co. and had tea and hours of talk with the owner. She took us all through her fabulous early-Victorian house and her fabulous collections of Fiestaware and Craftsman furniture and vintage packaging of spices and hoodoo products and I don't know what all!

And today my son called me and told me about all his cool projects - he's making juggling poi to sell, among other things.

I got my mom the truth. I asked about the UN NGO scandel. What can be more valuable than the truth that will set you free???

I made "Pult" for my mom and surprised her on her night shift last night.

She loves "Pult", it is a potato dumpling type thing (Swedish) that is really messy and hard to make (for me).  She gets it once a year!
