The soundtrack is amazing, too. The songs are so well chosen for each scene. And the first time you see it, you get fooled by the first and the last suicide.

I can tell you the scenes where each song plays.

This is the song that plays when Harold takes Maude to the hospital in the ambulence and during her death vigil and his drive to the sea.

    Artist:Cat Stevens
    Album:Footsteps In The Dark
    Title:Trouble

    Trouble

    Oh trouble set me free

    I have seen your face

And it's too much too much for me

    Trouble

    Oh trouble can't you see

    You're eating my heart away

And there's nothing much left of me

    I've drunk your wine

You have made your world mine

    So won't you be fair

    So won't you be fair

I don't want no more of you

So won't you be kind to me

    Just let me go where

    I'll have to go there

    Trouble

    Oh trouble move away

    I have seen your face

And it's too much for me today

Don't worry, I've seen it. Not too many movies that I haven't seen. Mainly its only chick flicks that I haven't seen many of.

I like a guy that can get into any kind of movie, not just action movies. The only movies Andy won't see are Forrest Gump, which I love and he detests and almost anything with Johnny Depp. He is jealous of Johnny Depp, but he did see Benny And Joon with me.

Movies are like Music with me.  I cannot get by on one style alone.  I watched Full Metal Jacket the other night and realized what a dang powerful and creepy movie it is all over again.

then just as quick, I went and saw A Beautiful Country.  Tis very good!

Forrest Gump was great. I like a lot of drama type movies like American Beauty, Magnolia and such. I have about 300 dvd's, so sad when I think of all the money that I've spent on them.

I never noticed the soundtrack and usually I do...I need to watch it again.  The suicides did fool me totally.  And of course he should be jealous of Johnny Depp, he's gorgeous!  Hey, wasn't he in 21 Jumpstreet years ago?  I used to love that show...I have a feeling if I watched it now I'd be horrified at its stupidity.  A good reason to not watch it and spoil the lovely memory!

But hey, I think we need a new question...only I'm too tired to think of anything creative.  Anybody else?

    Spectre -

Speed Racer?  You'll have to fill me in... :-)  It's either before my time or I'm just clueless about it.  But then again I didn't understand why cartoons were funny when I was a kid, so the latter option is completely possible.

    Later, SP.

Speed Racer was a early japanese cartoon of a race car driver that hasn't aged well when I last saw an episode. Still a cool car though.

alt This is from the scene where he has just torched himself in the courtyard and the girl runs out of the room screaming "Harold!" and he looks at the camera, gives that smile and then looks back at his mother and shivers. Just as she smiles, part of I Think I See The Light begins to play. Pure magic.

I love Speed Racer, it used to play on WTBS before Ted Turner turned it into the super station it is today. It was channel 17 in Atlanta and it was 1970. I love the theme song of the show.
    American Beauty,
    Great movie. Loved it.

Yeah, sadly, I still know all the words of the theme songs.

Well, I think I'm going to head on home now. Later all.

    Night sp! :-)

Spectre - So it was both before my time and a cartoon. :-)  I can't really explain what wires were crossed when I was a kid as far as cartoons go - for some reason I just didn't get them.  I think being a good jw girl I was just too serious in general.  They'd play cartoons on rainy days during recess time at school and I just remember being so bored but trying to laugh along w/everybody else so I didn't seem out of place...
