Does Your Family Eat Dinner Together?

 

Yes...we went through a period of eating in front of the TV...now it's back to the table and TV off...

We always have dinner at the table.  People at work think I am insane to cook dinner every night, but I feel it is important.  Occassionally the TV will be on in the background (if it is a football night), but we always sit together at the table.

There's only the two of us, but we always eat dinner together at the dining room table. If the day's been a little bit gloomy we sometimes get out the china, silver and crystal instead of the everyday dishes. 

When we have the extended family over for meals we never let the children go off and eat in front of the TV. They now expect to be seated at the table with everyone else and would be highly insulted if we sent them to eat anywhere else.

The big discussion at tonights supper table was..

How long is 5.6 meters..   (about 15.5 feet)

and how much is 15 kg   (about 35 lbs)

So  If you had a King Cobra about a long as the dining room and 15-20 feet and weighed 35 lbs.  

Yeah.. that's BIG..  A BIG, BAD  snake.

Just like the one in Malaysia or somewhere like that .. where the village had to get a snake charmer only 21 years old to come and catch the dang thing. ..  No one could catch it or they were scared to attempt it.  

Yup they caught that Big Bad snake.
