Biography: 4th generation jehovah's witness, my great grandmother believed the end would come in her time, she died of old age in 1973, my grandmother believed the end would come in her time, she died of old age in 1985, parents believe the end will come in their time, they are now frail and near 80 years old. i'm in my early 40s and no longer think there is an end other than death.
i am shunned by 2 of my baptized children because they found out i did the great sin of posting here.
my main issues with the religion are the generation change of the mid 90s, the lack of love within the congregation, the pedophilia issue , unfulfilled prophecy and more recently, the reversal of the 1935 sealing of the 144,000 being done away with.

all the years i heard " we dont follow MAN , we follow GOD" and the watchtower would use the example of the catholic church following the pope, in recent years it's been pounded on jehovahs witnesses to follow the faithful and discreet slave. MEN, faceless but powerful men who callously break up families among their other sins.

I am weary and tired of it.
