Who is running the Watchtower now?

Who is the Head Honcho and/or Big Kahuna?

Watchtower presidents:

Charles T. Russell (1879-1916)
Joseph F. Rutherford (1916-1942)
Nathan H. Knorr (1942-1977)
Frederick W. Franz (1977-1992)
Milton G. Henschel (1992-)

Recently, I have learned that the organization has been reorganized and that the Governing Body is no longer a part of the Watchtower Society. (I can't find the details on this right now. Can anyone help me on this?)

My question is, who really has the final say on matters now? It seems to me that the organization is now more like it's own artificial entity, like Frankenstein's Monster that no one can really control.

The GB is now in a position that no matter what they spew forth as "new light", they cannot be sued.
They were the legal heads before so could be sued individually. Now they are no longer in that
position, and can "dedicate themselves to bible study" [8>]

I think it is all in the Jan 1 2001 WT. Or maybe the 15th .....

They now have a Board and of course the board dont make the doctrines, they just publish them and
care for the organizaiton [8>]

interesting list indeed. It seems to me that the vast majority of people in somewhat responsible positions at Watchtower HQ are Americans (or at least from other English speaking countries).

Which, of course, begs the question: does old Jehovah favour certain "races" or nations? Are people from, say, China, Finland, the Ukraine or maybe Ivory Coast not as qualified, not as spiritual as US citizens? So maybe it's really God's own country after all? ;-)

I am very glad that some birthdates were posted. I am VERY interested to see when all of the current GB members were born due to the 1935 sealing of the annointed.

Any one have a updated list of the GB with their birthdates?

One of my personal predictions is that the 1935 sealing date is headed for the wood chipper shortly (if it hasn't already).

I think they are any number of legal corporations for the 200+ countries involved - all with their own personnel. I guess the structure means that Brooklyn can't be brought down by the misdemeanours of any of the others i.e. tax liabilities in France.

The whole mass of legal corporations etc. will be lead by Brooklyn. The same structure existed in the first century – you know! The executive decisions are now made, it would appear by Great Crowders. I guess the anointed ones have enough trouble going to the bathroom and stuff.
