All Bethelites have emergency gear ready in a backpack, food, water, first aid kit, etc. And most of the publishers have also started ordering them.

NOOOOOO not again. My wife bought a bunch of crap a few years back when they started yapping at the platform about preparing for armageddon

The Governing Body will retire to the flood proof underground bunker but not before instructing the person manning the front door that under no circumstances are they to open the doors or give any aid or comfort to anybody in distress on the outside. The door person however will be allowed to push out the latest magazines through an inch gap in the door for a small contribution to the World Wide work.

The Governing Body will also give out instructions to the effect that as soon as the wind drops to 40 knots a team of enthusiasts will go directly to the front of the buiding and start sweeping the sidewalk.

How about Awake front cover magazine in full color showing brothers and sisters with their yellow protective helmets on their heads, renovating Kingdom halls and Regional branch buildings demaged by Sandy?

    NO, NO, NO!

We are not here to rescue you. Watchtower bought a boat so the pioneers could get these magazines to you.

Superstorm Sandy: Manhattan flooded by record storm surge

New York: A record storm surge from Sandy sent floodwaters pouring into Lower Manhattan on Monday night as parts of New York were plunged into darkness by widespread power outages. The East River and the Hudson River flooded subway and car tunnels, and several feet of seawater swamped into Battery Park at the foot of Lower Manhattan, showing no sign of abating.

Thats the dumbest thing i ever heard, nobody puts servers in the basement just inc ase it rains...or a pipe floods etc. There is no strategic advantage to using the basement for this when you have plenty o fohter floors above ground.

Wow, and you was flying to Japan, right? Look at the buildings in foregroud. That would give you a sense of how deep is the flooded area is.

Or look at the tire at the bottom right of the pic of the jetway. I think that they lowered it down to ground level to keep the wind from getting ahold of it.

    I could be wrong.

      Confirm ...
