I thought this extract from the August 15 WT (Study Edition) was very telling...
Today, anyone with an Internet Do not become an “Internet Eve.” Be critical
Watchtower tells every JW to be critical of anything not written by them. How well these words apply to the editors of the Watchtower magazine. |

Interestingly, none of the answers to questions 1 & 3 can be answered regarding anything the WTS publishes.... Regarding question 2, clearly all of the WTS's literature is biased toward supporting their own doctrines... Regarding question 4, well, they get that one, as oftentimes what is published in [year X] directly overturns what had been published in [year X - Y]... |

Funny thing is that in an early paragraph it says "In 1993 a well known magazine". What magazine? Who was the publisher? LOL Fail. |

It has always been true that anyone can pretend to be "in the know". That is exactly what they have been doing all this time. The internet makes it a lot easier to check whether you're telling the truth or not, however; and this is something that affects them. So they discredit any criticism. |

Well...........on May 26, 1969, there was an article entitled, "What Future For Young." That article had statements such as, "If you're a young person, you need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this system of things." Another statement made in that article goes, "Therefore as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers."

Oh man, the illustration on that page is a hoot. On page 3, continuing to page 4: In 1993 a well-known magazine (reference?) had a cartoon showing two dogs in front of a computer. One dog explains to the other: "On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog." Long ago, Satan hid behind a serpent to start a "chat" with Eve and told her that she could be like God. As you flip the page to finish reading that last sentence, notice the illustration. The subliminal effect is obvious. As they interject Satan into the discussion of the Internet, right in the middle of that thought, they leave another impression on your mind - that Satan hides behind the Internet:

undercover, thank you for pointing this out. Picture of ethernet cable casting a shadow of a snake. I think The Watchtower went too far publishing that image. They really do not like the internet, do they.

As someone who knows a bit about ethernet cables, I can tell you the bend radius of this patch cable does not conform to the manufacturer's and industry standards. Thus, by extension, the illustration is invalid |

Question. "How can you avoid being a victim of misinformation?" Answer by the worldly who doesn't know the ropes: "I can avoid being a victim of misinformation by having different sources of information, asking uncomfortable questions, reading things people wouldn't want you to read, checking backgrounds, and, above all, using my brains". If you look at the image, you'll notice that the network cable doesn't have as many twists as the shadow in the shape of a snake. Dunces. Besides, I went wireless long ago. |

Since when did the WT follow it's own advice. They are going full tilt in fear when it comes to the internet to the R&F. But in the back ground that is the main tool they use to control everything they own. At the elders school they now have talks on the usage of their internet sites for elders. Yes that 69 Awake had a big effect on my life. It gave my parents another excuse not to be responsible for my education. The cult won that day. The more I read the sicker I get about the WT cult. Totally ADD |

Gotta love it. Using their own criteria proves them to be full of it.
