Without data to back me up, I am still positive that no group has preached "Armageddon-Soon, any-minute-now" longer than the group that became known as Jehovah's Witnesses.

With 130 years under their belt, they gotta be the champs.  Oh, there have been groups that knew the end was coming eventually, but they weren't preaching it like the JW's were.  There were groups more sure of their doomsday, but the groups are gone or their campaign has ended.

    JW's are the champs.

Well, I'm prepared to admit that they've won the "False Urgency" award of the last millenium.

Well, I'm prepared to admit that they've won the "False Urgency" award of the last millenium.

And they only got into the game toward the end of the last millenium.  I hope they don't win the award in the 3rd millenium of our common era.
Then again, I hope nobody wins that game.

They say that being wrong about when armageddon was to come does not mean that they don't have the trufth because they are not perfect. Well no one else is perfect either so everyone must have some trufth. Then

They say that the (Isrealites or who ever it was?) come to Jesus and asked him if he come to fulfill the prophecy, and Jesus replied "no not at this time" so that is JW excuse that the Isrealites were wrong and they were still God's people.

The people that asked Jesus was doing just that, asking a question. The Jws on the other hand was making a prophecy that did not come true, so there fore the JW thing is a false prophet.

    official?

I'm hoping that any day they'll say Armageddon already happened -- invisibly.

Oh, and that Paradise? You guessed it! It's invisible, too!

... and I've been preaching their urgent message door-to-door... invisibly.

Don't forget that your contributions could be invisible.  Here's an example:

Wish I had thought of 'invisible' service and contributions before I left.

"Wish I had thought of 'invisible' service and contributions before I left."

And meeting attendance. "Oh yes, I have been attending, invisibly!"

And meeting attendance. "Oh yes, I have been attending, invisibly!"

I doubt I will ever get the chance to use that, but I will try to remember it if the elders ever pin me down and try to discuss stuff like meeting attendance.

"You all know that the invisible parousia wasn't evident until after the fact in Jesus' case.  Russell was 100% sure it had happened in 1874, then later the Spirit led the anointed to understand that Russell was somehow not wrong, but not right- that the invisible parousia was actually in 1914.  Well, it will eventually be apparent to you guys that I have been invisibly present at the Kingdom Hall all along."
