I live in Holland, there are more bikes than people in our country and they are stolen all the time. A few years ago, they stole six bikes of me in one year. At last I was so fed up with it. that I stole a bike myself....and that one was stolen also... |

Your bike will hardly get stolen if you follow these steps: Always use a U lock Never lock your bike on something that isn't at least 2 inches (5cm) of solid metal. If possible, get a secondary lock and lock the wheels. Always pull your bike against the object you're locking it to so you can make sure it's locked. I've had two bikes stolen, and the reason they got stolen was because my bitchy Jehovah's Witness brother didn't like me keeping my bike in my house and manipulated my mother into keeping it in the garage (I didn't follow step 2 because the garage didn't have someplace I could lock the bike to), and the second time was that I couldn't really concentrate and I forgot to check to see if my bike was locked to something secure. I always make sure to pull my bike against the object that I'm locking it into as hard as I can to make sure it's secure. |

My friend went inside to eat dinner....usually grabs and runs. Dropped bike outside apt at steps. Within 10 mins. inside when she came out bike was gone.
We went driving and found the bike. They had already partially disassembled it. They had an operation going on in someone's garage. They mix and match parts so that you can never find your bike again. |
