nope...just the opposite.... the last one I attended as an elder (and was chairman of the local building committee for the remodel until I left Dec 06) windows were included to be added in the update. I went by there a week ago and there are indeed windows in the auditorium now. Snakes ( |

Depends on where they're built. In lower crime areas, it doesn't raise your insurance to build a KH with windows, although a lot of windows become a problem in conserving energy and controlling the lighting in a KH, so even those tend to have only smallish windows with shutters or blinds. As with many other things about the WTS, the KH plans are designed with money in mind. Windows are kept to a minimum to reduce costs in building, insurance and maintainance.

Yes, so there can be no chance that any new LIGHT will enter beyond the walls and educate the "faithful." |

They keep them windowless so the members won't always be thinking about work. More focused that way... |

keeping them windowless does cause less distraction as well as easier to put them up in a quicker time frame by not having to build in the windows and frame them... remember, they are quick builds or the remodel should be done as quick as possible. no windows means less outside noice, less distractions |

all halls being remodeled in our area are having windows put in where prev there were none might be due to fire regulations, even tho there are clearly marked exit signs and battery operated lighting should power fail

I bet they started building them with windows to improve the resale value. Just a guess. |
