Poland is interesting, more gone than was baptised!
What has happened to Japan ,I remember for years the huge growth and at circuit or district assemlies we would have the guilt dumped on us about the massive quantity of Pioneers there and lines like this...."No brothers it's NOT why you should pioneer, but it's what reason have you got for NOT pioneering?!"
And what's this increase of over 200 more annointed? there must be alot naughty geriatrics partying too hard and needing to get replaced

I like how they say they spent a whopping $111 million dollars, while taking in 1 billion. Memorial partakers is a joke, how come the number never changes ??? what was the number last year ? Over a billion hours in service, for a suppose 250,000 increase, hhhhhmmmmmmmm

And to Mary: "Isn't Timor where Captain Bligh landed after Mister Christian set him adrift?" It was Pitcairn Island matey, arrr! No it wasn't ya silly bugger. Pitcairns Island is where the Mutineers ended up. And I looked it up on Wikipedia and I was right! Captain Bligh sailed to Timor in that crappy little boat:
Nosferatu said: Damn, Gumby. I never knew. It just blows me away that you and Mary are friends. It's true. Gumby pays me $5.00 a month to be his friend. That's $2.00 a month more than what his imaginary friends are getting. I feel soooooooo special!! Brent said: From an accounting standpoint those numbers are so subjective because the WTS can not use any checks and balances to verify that what is reported is anything close to accurate. They rely completely on honest reporting practices and we know just how honest some of them are. Myself included at that time. It's true and you know what? I don't think they even care that half the hours are all faked. They're like Enron in that respect: as long as they've got some figures on paper, it makes no difference if there's nothing there to back it up. And like Enron, they're screwing those that trust them, out of a life, savings and a decent retirement, all for the greater glory of "the company". |

I especially like to see the 0% or negative % in JW strongholds like Germany, Canada, Argentina etc. The ultimate would be to one day see a negative in the United States column.

Gumby, Go for it. It is the only reason in the whole wide world to be a Witness, and I'm sure you'll spread seeds of discontent carefully, everywhere you go. There is no other reason to be a JW. End of story. Brant |

joe black said: I especially like to see the 0% or negative % in JW strongholds like Germany, Canada, Argentina etc. The ultimate would be to one day see a negative in the United States column. I agree. We've been at 0% here in Canada for the last several years.....I think this is one of the first years the States has had any positive growth. The GB must be shitting bricks. After all, they've tried everything but hold a gun to the R&F's head, and people are still abandonning ship. Not only are people abandonning it, there's virtually no replacements coming in. I think if the day ever comes where the States has a negative growth, that's really going to make some stop and question: why are even bothering? Bigmouth said: Mary ya scurvy sea-vixen. The good report that the apostles came back with had nothing to do with figures, books, mags or hours, rather the good results of the HS on the preaching in general. Sad how it all is twisted around, God has never been impressed with figures. |

Something I find very odd is that the report says 2005 had 6,390,022 Average publishers, yet the data I have says 6,391,500. Did I get the data wrong or did the WTS change or revise their original report? Does anyone have the Feb 1, 2005 WT to confirm? I checked the WTCD but it does not contain the 2005 Service Year Report.

Elsewhere, I tend to agree with your projection, except for one group of years. Expect a spike around 2011 - 2015. Wierdos will be in full force about the Mayan calendar ending in 2012 and then you have the 100 year anniversary of 1914 just on the backside of that. 2015 expect the decline to pick up once again. Just something to consider... |

I love the Falkland Islands. I can just hear comments at this WT study about the great increase in distant lands. Why the Falklands grew by 33%. Oh wait a minute, they went...get this...from 3 to 4! Yes folks four whole publishers and a whooping 33%. Need I say more?

Actually my hours used to be pretty accurate......the only time I faked it is when I was pioneering one month. I had 59 hours and I thought "oh screw this" and wrote down "60".
