I don't do any of the fixing. That is 100% Simon. I don't think even his wife Angharad does much fixing to the database.

I did not remove the threads.

My personal opinion - not my moderator opinion - is that I get annoyed with these truly dumb threads. Which is why I never post on them.

My moderator opinion is that there are too many really really dumb threads on the board. However, if they don't cross the posting guidelines I won't touch them.

Now just to clarify something. I am fully aware that the JW lifestyle is limited when it comes to having fun. And we really need to be able to have fun. So my issue isn't about having fun. It is necessary.

off to whip myself with a wet noodle

I have looked for past posts of mine to discover that they have disappeared.

But sometime a day or so later they reappear.

There are several ways to locate threads that you have started or commented on.

The most obvious, and least effective, as noted earlier, is to use the so-called "Search" function. You'd be better off with a dull machete and a flashlight with a burned-out bulb.

Another, less obvious method is to click on your user name in the upper right hand corner of the screen and then select either "TOPICS STARTED" or TOPICS POSTED ON."

"Dumb threads," like beautiful faces, are in the eye of the beholder. Maybe a thread seems dumb because you are incapable of grasping the humor in it. In such cases the course of wisdom is to remain silent and move along so as not to embarrass yourself. I do this frequently.

Just as some people can sing well, some can sing poorly and some cannot sing at all, some cannot comprehend humor, or can grasp it only in its simplest form.

Some may feel that asking if demons can repent is a valid theological discusion, while others might put it on par with asking if fish can paint with watercolors. Both situations require active imaginations, and neither is real.

Don;t feel too bad.  The last few topics that i started sunk like stones.  Too heavy for the masses, i guess.  I must be 10 yrs ahead.  Or, 10 yrs behind:(

I'm eager to hear what Simon has to say about this.

Well Nathan, the topics were not relevant to the subject area or the board so they were removed.

Please refer to the posting guidelines.
